Event Overview:

The therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of mental health nursing and professional practice.  This workshop will explore the key elements to establishing a strong therapeutic alliance from the perspective of clients and clinicians and will consider the importance of the therapeutic relationship in the recovery process.  Learn how to plan and implement care for clients with emotional dysregulation, impulsivity and at-risk behaviours by leveraging the therapeutic relationship in the context of the inter-professional team.  The provocative speakers are sure to engage and challenge the participants to think broadly about our role in the recovery of our clients.

  1. Celebrate and revitalize the centrality of the therapeutic relationship;
  2. Learn from our clients more effective ways to enhance recovery;
  3. Explore best practice and concurrent evidence to respond to emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, and challenging behaviours.
