Summary

During this session the audience will hear about the significant influence of mental health on work, and conversely, the substantial influence of work on health.  Researched positive and negative factors which support or hinder work function will also be discussed. Understanding and addressing these health, personal, and workplace factors can help maintain work function, improve readiness to return to work, or determine whether adopting a non-paid work role is most beneficial.

In addition, the conversation will focus on recovery steps through treatment intervention, improving coping strategies and discovering potential solutions to assist with work goals. An array of community and web resources will also be shared.
